Why Do You Need Travel Insurance for Your Cruise?

Getting sick at sea is expensive, very expensive.

Did you know that the cost of a simple medical consultation onboard a cruise can cost you more than 100€? And, in addition, if you need medical assistance on land, receiving it in any foreign country is also extremely expensive.

For all these reasons, in case of any unforeseen health issues, this insurance includes medical coverage, guaranteeing you up to 200,000€ in medical expenses anywhere in the world, and up to 10,000€ onboard the cruise.

Extension of Stay or Early Return

A cruise is a very special experience: visiting multiple countries in one trip, days of sailing at sea… But what happens if, due to a medical emergency or accident, you need to stay longer abroad? In such cases, your cruise insurance provides up to 120€/day for up to 10 days for extending your stay in a hotel due to illness or accident.

Additionally, it includes interpreter services in case of emergencies, so language won’t be a barrier.

And what if you need to return home early due to a medical emergency or accident? The cruise insurance covers the return transfer with no limit on expenses.

Advance Reservations… What if You Can’t Travel?

It’s common when deciding to take a cruise to make reservations in advance, for two reasons: the high demand for this type of travel and, of course, the cost. However, booking your cruise in advance also carries the risk of unforeseen events preventing you from traveling. Would you then lose all the money you’ve paid?

With this insurance, you have cancellation coverage, including up to 3,000€ in expenses for trips not started and 2,000€ in reimbursement for unused vacations.
